I once read an article that said the “e” in e-learning should stand for
“enabling.” I liked that. While electronic media is very important,
learning of any kind should aim to enable the learner, or empower
him/her… yet another “e” interpretation.
I develop e-learning with a constant focus on enabling the learner
once the course is over. It’s not about how flashy I can be with
graphics, although I do place great importance on the presentation
side of e-learning. After all, if you can’t get their attention, you
certainly can’t get them to learn. But I ensure the media techniques
used are for the purpose of communicating the information and
helping the learner to retain it.

"We wanted to develop online content as part of an effort to re-structure our current training
programs. We were looking for someone to take our existing content and package it in a way
that reflected our company's unique business model and training philosophy---Beth met that
challenge and more. She listened to our needs, understood our goals and adapted her style
and development to exactly what we were looking for. The experience was so pleasant and
painless, we have since devised a company-wide e-learning strategy for more online courses."
